You don’t take them in to care for them because they belong in the wild and might have family out there. The only reason you should take a hedgehog inside your house is if they need medical help from a vet, then as soon as you can you should take them to your local vet in your town or village.

Its ok to give hedgehogs food as long as you know it’s healthy for them and won’t make them ill if they are to eat it. Just make shore a hedgehog doesn’t get to dependent on you because if you should go on Holiday for a long pereod or move house the hedgehog might die because it’s forgoton how to fend for himself after beeing so dependent for a long while.
